beware the silent smiling woman

Dara
Mare - 10 - Mutt - Sooty Bay Dun- 16.0hh
Dexter x Delinquent

Perhaps it was all the seasons that have made her go insane, locked inside her own vendetta against the very male she'd corrupted when he was young and so naive. Back then she'd been the viper, the dangerous woman he had hung onto with every word that left her mouth, but now he was the snake in the grass. My oh my how the tables have turned. Give him children, her mind had said, surely that would gain some inkling of favor.

Their love, if one could even call it that, was a twisted chaotic pit of no repair. She liked him mad, liked how his eyes grew ablaze with rage and his teeth ripped into her flesh to spill her blood. He was tamer now, her Tyr, her god becoming a calmer version of what he truly was. She sneers into the warmth of the summer glow, her dark skin glistening with a fine sheen of sweat as she prowls the protective cover of trees.

Her daughter was gone, Varda was a dark mix of both of her parents' worst qualities and Dara was certain she'd taken her nameless brother with her. The boy had been Dara's last ditch attempt to get something, if anything out of Tyr. Playing keep away with the kids had managed to rouse his anger, but it just wasn't the same. He had someone new, a new flame to his eye that was more than likely better than Dara herself. The thought makes her eyes alight with fire, her steps slipping into a more purposeful walk as the trees thin and she finds herself back in the commons where she'd been scouting for her own flesh and bone to fill the void.

There, her eyes touch on a lone stallion grazing, surprised to not find him trying to court the just as lonely women here. Perhaps an older male then, Dara thinks, tamer and calm. Not what she was used to when her skin was littered with scars that gave away what she really wanted. Anyone can be cruel though if you push the right buttons. She slips on her best man eating grin, striding over at a languid pace until she is within speaking distance of his grazing form. Up close he was pleasant enough to appease her critical eye, which was sparkling with a hint of mysterious mischief. "Mind some company," Dara keeps her voice warm and inviting, a well coiled viper trying to lure him into her clutches.

Yes, she thinks, he would do just nicely.
