Don't go crying to your momma

cause you're on your own in the real world

This was so much fun! Parvati nearly forgets the other stallion she almost approached. He was way way in the back of her mind as she looks over the youth she circles. He was so perfect she couldn’t keep her thoughts quiet. Their eyes meet when she finally stops her circling and comments on how perfect he is. The response he gives to her compliment was even more darling! The smile on the girl’s lips beams brightly like the sun, but when he replies to say she was also perfect she nearly faints. The difficult choice she has made only minutes before was washed from her brain. There was no way that older stallion could have treated her like this. In just a few short minutes, the bay dun snowcap has surpassed her imagination. Placing her claiming nip was not exactly planned this way, but she found herself a slave to the moment. The energy coursing through her veins causes her legs to move without asking.

The reaction of the young male surprises her. Had she bit him too hard? She was sure she has seen stallions claim mares like this before (though she couldn’t recall where). Perhaps that is not the way it is done nowadays? Her head tilts slightly as she watches his reaction. He steps away from her, a frown growing on her lips, but she shakes away the sting in her chest. She would have to ask him about this later..he speaks to answer her words of joining her herd. A puzzling look comes across her face as he fumbles around his own question. Wait, yeah. She made the claiming nip so that means he has no choice right? He is hers! ”I guess so, but it just felt right to ask you about it.” Conflicting scenarios rush through her head. Father was respectable and usually asks others to join his herd. She has also seen him claim others and make them try out his herd before deciding too. What will she do? Honestly, she didn’t want to lose all the good stallions by allowing them the choice to stay or go.

The bay male explains he doesn’t know anything about being in a herd. Relief washes over her as she sighs. Oh, good then maybe she wasn’t doing anything wrong. It was him who was being weird. Parvati giggles at the thought. He mentions he might be bad at being in a herd, but he was willing to go with her if she still wanted. Parvati stares at him for a good long while as if she was thinking it over. She actually wasn’t because she has already decided to keep him, but she was still shocked he had never been in a herd before. Didn’t everyone have a herd at some point in their lives? Wow so if she becomes his first herd leader…wow that is a lot of pressure. He breaks the silence with another question. Is she sure this is who she wants? He then gestures towards the same older stallion she had almost approached. Parvati shakes her head rather violently. ”No, no!”

She almost becomes dizzy when she straightens herself up to look at up him. ”Look I thought about approaching him, but I didn’t. I chose you instead and you just have to live with that, okay?” There you go Parv show him whose boss! ”You are my first herd member so I expect us to talk a lot. I am in need of company when I am home and honestly you look perfect for that. You’re cute too.” She smiles lightly, but there was slight agitation in her voice. ”My name is Parvati de Solomon, Princess of Tinuvel and now Leader of the Thicket. What is your name herdmate?” Yes, herd mate for now, but if things go smoothly she will soon be calling him something else.
