To the few in here still in Broadcasting

Surprise, we just got our internet back just now. This experience reminded me of Joplin. Thank god for TV here so thousands of people got warning.

Lucky you for having basements to hide in.
I always thought Johnny Rowland was the total cat's meow and he IS.

But even in places in the middle of the night, there are some fabulous TV stations that work despite being surrounded with power outages. Weaathermen are just HOT SHIT. They and the peeps who keep them on the air are as herotic as first responders only more so... they urge people to take cover BEFORE the Responders have to climb over their bodies to find those still alive!

I thought I knew about disasters, seen plenty, but this one was a clusterfuck and not much scares me!

KC's dodged some bullets. Get ready and if your media outlet isn't ready to serve when the time comes.... well figure out how you CAN be. Today's radio is more itnerested in profits than public service, and ya know it. It's among the reason why I decided radio was a waste of my time and talent.

Radio journalists.... abandon radio and move to TV which still has the commitment! Radio's just an itunes broadcaster. Learn video skills and move on to where the audience is!
just sayin.
