Re(1): Downfall of Radio

That was probably jim.... he's plagerized my style, loves to say 'prolly' cuz I said it just once years ago. He does that to get us goin again.

Reviewing this long ranting thread, whoever jumped him, make sure he doesnt find you like he found radioman (me.)

He'll look up your family and play mind games with you. I wasn't kidding when I said all these times he's a stalker.

I even reminded you all of a Clint Eastwood movie about a west coast deejay in a film "Play Misty For Me." About some loonie woman who wanted to hit on the jock, he rejected her and she sought to take him out. Wont spoil the ending but that taught me public people need to take steps because theres crazy people out there and since you're on radio or tv they think they know you, own you.

Now you know, like most things, I've been right all along. He doens't know me but he thinks he does.

Yup the media was a fun ride but not a lot of upwards mobility for folks who grow up and need enough to raise a family on. Pay was my big complaint tho the other was when they took all the creativity to the home office and turned radio into an Itunes outlet, ending keeping news as part of their presentation. The public was the loser of that one and it shows in how they act, how they vote, etc.

Not much different when consultants took over local news, too. The 70s & all of the 80s were great tho. Thats' when I left. Yup it died, just like this room did in abt 2010.
