I've had this idea floating around my head for a few days and wanted to post it here and see if anyone would be interested in making it happen. Keep in mind this plot would require you to join a new character and if that doesn't float your goat I understand! if you're still interested in participating somehow with existing characters who have ties to Marceline, please let me know. the more the merrier!
SO onto the good stuff! Though I haven't revealed much about Marceline's history in her posts I do have an entire backstory written up for her. Long story short: she was paired off by her parents to a much older stallion, the ruler of her kingdom, when she was 2. basically for clout, and that made her resent her family a lot. it was not a happy existence for her. she bore her king a son when she was 3 who became heir. he was very much a father's boy and wanted to be the perfect prince even if it meant throwing his own mother under the bus, which he did when he caught her having an affair with another stallion, a high-ranking member of the herd. spicyyyy. anyway, he basically ratted her out to his father and as a result Marceline was disgraced and ran out of her home and eventually ended up here.
now life's been going pretty well for her and she finally is where she wanted to be all along, and it would just be a real shame if someone came along and disrupted that, wouldn't it? ;)
As far as I see it there are two options here: her son or her former lover, both of whom would have ended up in compromising positions after the affair was revealed and likely would not be happy to see her again. I mean, losing your spot as heir to a powerful kingdom because your paternity came into question doesn't exactly leave one feeling warm and fuzzy, ya know? >:)
