The trouble with this room is that there are so many hate posts, I just assume the worst and took your comment as a threat for dissing the disgrundled, overly macho Marines who sometimes can be insufferable. My view is that it is not them but US who should pay the deserved honors.
I'll accept the accelerated name of Prick because I can be, but I apologize to you... most posts mentioning me (or anyone in here) by name don't have good intent. Given your real intent, well I'd drink a Roy Rogers with ya but I'm a long ways from OPKS these days.
I could still piss you off if you ever catch my diatribe dissing mostly women who call all first responders and all soldiers HEROS -- horribly misusing a word properly reserved for those who exhibited VALOR in battle against enemies or high rise fires. But there are other honors more commonly given.
BTW, did you ever see the 2009 film "TAKING CHANCE?" that starred Kevin Bacon as a Marine Colonel? Here's a Memorial Day Tribute worth your time.
