you hesitated and I don't know why [Annubis/Open]

The bitter chill of winter was gone, and with it her children. She'd say good riddance if it weren't for the fact she loved them both so very much, regardless of who their father is. Hard to deny the slight curl to their ears and eyes that were almost identical to his. Both weak moments on her part, she sniffs to herself, peering from her hideaway as though the pale marwari would be looming in the shadows waiting for her to show herself. Somehow they always managed to find each other in just the right moments; she'd been lucky to escape last season without another kid in tow.

Yet while she had taken every precaution to avoid the dangerous cat lurking around she'd managed to stumble back into the paws of that wolf annubis. This time though they did a scuffle of a dance, with him coming out on top and leaving her to lick her wounded pride and tuck herself even further out of reach. "Screw them all," Hyacinth was tired of the running and not knowing, missing her family more than ever in such a strange place yet something keeps her here in such dangerous territory, her hooves walking a fine line. Grinding her teeth did nothing, the worn path from her pacing lacked results, but at least her children were off doing god knows what far away from here. Was she a prisoner? A damsel in distress?

Hyacinth inted to find out, surging from the little nook she called her own within the fronds of the palms. She sought the flesh of Annubis slinking through the jungle, eager to find out if he wanted her tarnished self after so many seasons of avoiding him like the plague and throwing multiple Khajiit children into his face. Why would he even care though if she wasn't ever his and more importantly, why did she care? They were nothing more than strangers if one really thought about it, but maybe it's the way that Anuubis gets under her skin in a way that her kitty boy didn't, an itch she couldn't quite scratch. Hints of morning light peek through the canopy above her, alive with the sounds of birds calling to another, the fresh spring time air putting life into such a dull jungle again.
