Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

You’re not Salinger. Get over it.

He was tired. Though Frey had been around, he hadn’t really been around. What was the point? His father had “fixed” things, but he wasn’t grateful. The sooty boy was angry– he could fight his own battles. He didn’t need Tyr to go around and bail him out. The red boy was indignant.

Frey would sulk. He would continue to sulk, as he had been for the winter. Despite keeping an eye on the Common, on the Meadow, looking out for lost souls as he had the previous winter, the sooty child’s attitude had soured. There was no one out here to save. There was no one that he would want to spirit away to the safety of the Lagoon. Hell, apparently the others thought the islands thought only monsters lived here. Frey… well, shit, maybe for now Frey was a monster too.

With the stiff posture that had become his near constant, the young man stood at the edge of the Lagoon, peering out over the sea. While he’d been around, he’d hardly been present. A ghost, a shell… indignant as ever, but faded. Frey didn’t want to have to face anyone, worst of all his father. It wasn’t the time. It would probably never be the time.
