Putin's got nothing to do but threaten his neighbors. He's the bad guy here and they're just playing their usual games for neither side wants a nuclear exchange. Remember, you're dealing with the same paranoid country that shot down KAL007, a 747 full of passengers back in the early 80s that strayed into their airspace.
Its a game they play with their military toys. With Trump, they would have been trying to take us over without killing anyone.
