Hello all,

This is his son again. It's with a very heavy heart that I have to mention that my dad, my best friend and anchor did not survive his long hospital visit. He was at end-stage congestive heart failure when admitted to the hospital. He didn't respond to any treatments. He was stubborn and always refused to see a doctor. He always wrote off his ailments as just old age. He cognitive abilities were not working but he was comfortable and in no pain at the end.

Now comes the hard part with settling his affairs. My sister flew over from Kempten, Germany for a few days to help with arrangements.

I'm keeping this page open as long as I can. I'm sure he's having his daily hefeweizen in the big Hofbrauhaus in the sky.
