Re(2): 3 listeners in here this morning

You ain't wrong. Its the same with computers. Having been a programmer, I'd say theyre in their own world and they have no concept of the Presentation Layer which is the interface between machine and user.

I made a good living mixing my media skills with my love for technology, teaching class, doing advanced helpdesk problemsolving, writing online and interactive help. Fact is, computer programmers hate users and they approach their own designing as if all users are numbers people.

And their bosses have the same problem radio and TV people do, always in a rush to get things to roll out before they're properly tested, especially on consumers. That's precisely why I wont buy a new computer til Win 11's been out there for at least a year, undergoing fifty 'fixes' that were pushed out before they were ready. MS just can't roll out software without forcing consumers to beta-test it instead of doing it BEFORE rushing it to market.

They did the same thing with their ridiculous anti-malware executable that slows people's desktops down to a crawl right when they boot up and need to check their mail. And it takes a dozen obscure steps to move the damned thing to the end of the day instead of on bootup.

And like radio, not theres now a wall of solid granite blocking user suggestions and complaints from listeners/users to people who can actually do something to fix their bloatware! Same with radio, forget about complaining about the music or a 10 minute block of wall to wall CM breaks twice an hour. (timed exactly when people are still in their cars almost at work). Radio programs for Arbitron but listeners are typically clocking in at the top of the hour all over America. For listener appeal, the best radio product should be at the 2nd and 4th quarter-hours. They'd know that if they worked in offices and stores like the rest of us, clocking in at work :00 and :30 on the clock. But radio people don't work in the real world, they never leave the studios so they have no clue how we live.

Ya touched on my pet peeve. sorry. Have a good day.
