I didn't have to do that. I lived in a county neighborhood and the plows were done by 6:30 in the morning, my downhill driveway faced the west so after coasting out of it in the morning, it was nearly dry when I came home.
Always pitied people living IN KCMO where they don't do residential sidestreets. And with a 1 pct earnings tax besides! Guess thats because half the city are in rental ghetto neighborhoods and they don't earn much. So suburbanites working downtown pay to run KCMO!
Reminds me of putting your kids in parochial schools. Ya pay out the teeth for tuition to the Church and then pay for public schools in your property taxes.
Nother one of my secrets. Raise em right in gradeschool at parochal schools where they learn discipline and good basics, and then move to a good suburban school district where there's money for the sciences. Good enough education that ya can almost breeze through hard college courses, and ones ya can't, ya have the discipline and experience to buckle down and earn a good GPA. Gens X and Y practically raise themselves in the right environments and some attn from mom n dad. Replies:
