Well that was a surprising and interesting article... typical of Yahoo writing. I've never been a fan of LGBT flamboyant activists, but I have to be impressed that he got through MIT's nuclear engineering program.
Remember, Biden was the one who got ahead of Obama on something related to gay rights--don't remember what it was, gays in the military or open marriage, but after the shock, Obama came around to it as well and the law or policy got changed. Maybe it was the repeal of the don't ask, don't tell policy for the military.
If its true that gays comprise almost ten percent of the population, then it was a brave but clever political move, I'd say.
And you better get used to the forced social changes from racism to mixed marriages and gay couple adopting kids.
We may have a fascist Republican party but lots of Americans are socially liberal despite that.
