But YOU"RE not dead! Just limited.

Only those with organizational, mgt, and retail skills. They don't teach that OJT in radio, do they?

Thats why I recommend you get a college degree and work in retail if thats the career path that pays what you want to live.

I started out in retail, working as a cashier when I was doing a Mkt/Acct degree, at the Service Desk at Spartans. "Attention shoppers...ladies dresses is offering specialty spring styles on a new rack, all sizes, next to pole 4A. These are frilly and.... yada yada."

Then I was doing all the voicework and then I landed my first radio job doing the news. That was the end of my retail, for I foolishly changed my major to journalism.

But ya get my point... better money is in mgt and the path to that is a college degree. We all had to start someplace and I want to thank KOAM, KAKE, KFH, and KLEO for putting me through school working full time building both education and experience on my resume. Never was out of work long after that, except when I jumped again into computer management, but at least I learned programming at a TV News shop as an ops manager. So rewriting my resume skills and once again, after the first IT job, I stayed working and except for that one dip in IT, I always increased my annual income.

The easy way outside broadcasting since ya dont need a tape to get a job, is to go to a recruiter/placement firm and let them sell you. Kinda like having an employment agent.

America would do well to stop wasting All of the free education and training on kids going through puberty. Theyre more interested in each other than building job skills. When drawing unemployment, adults should be able to look while studying and intern/apprentice while drawing unemployment. States won't let you do that which is not in displaced workers' best interest. justs sayin
