I heard an Amber Alert this morning on the radio. They were saying a kid had been KIDNAPPED in Raytown. I was only half-way listening, but they were giving a description of a car and a license plate number.
A bit later, I was on the phone with my girlfriend. I had my TV on, but I had the volume muted. Somebody on Channel 4 news was doing a remote at a convenience store at 61st and Blue Ridge.
Of course, they were reporting a car-jacking. Some idiot had gone into a quick-stop store, and had left their car running in front of the store with a 3-yr-old inside.
Channel 4 was reporting the “kidnapped” kid had been recovered. I don’t know if they said anything about the car.
