Right you are, Ed. I looked in my footlocker and that's what my KBAR says. And I was in the Navy! Picked up mine from a 1st LT in 1954-55 whilst I was Gunnery Officer in CAMBRIA (APA-36) on a Marine tourist cruise of the Med. Joe Head, I believe was his name. Great little fellow with a sense of humor. He caught a Marine nodding off, swiped his M-1, we took it to the ship's armory and he filled ever nook and cranny, including under the butt place, with grease and returned it to the sleeping Marine. "Attention" yelled Joe, "Present Arms" And the rest is a tale of cleaning one's rifle. Replies: There have been no replies.
