My news judgment tells me that if what little you said fm your China source on the media, that was predictable and revealed what Xi said for Chinese consumption. After 2 hours, that's little revelation.
Trump was a toilet flush of any and all info, down to where our subs are; Biden keeps critical conversations quiet in order to foster open and frank talks with critical people.
Moreover, their job isn't to entertain you and fill newscasts with content, it's to curtail Putin's killer adventurism. I hope Biden made it clear if China helps Russia in a substantial way, they'll see a lot of their factories close.
As one who worked doing IT mgt for a Chinese importer, I learned keeping their factories OPEN is highest priority; its an influx of cash and it keeps those who just moved to Chinese cities working.
They seem more about keeping people working than profiteering. Noticed that when Walmart told them the price of our products FOB China, they'd pay, the Chinese took it JUST to keep their factory at max employment.
You may know this about Chinese, they throw PEOPLE at jobs, ta hell with profits. I think that keeps the entrepreneurs in good graces with the govt. They seem to pennypinch on materiels, not workers.
My criticism of your news consumption is ONLY that it lacks a certain understanding of the realities, that you tend to believe with what Trump PUBLICANS say rather than what others say. PBS is a news broadcast outlet, not known for enterprising news. Not sure they have any reporters. What I like about MSNBC is that they report what the major mainstream newspapers say, since I don't read them much. (too cheap to pay the subscr prices).
The word I hear even from the right wing media I watch is that the Trump era's pretty much over with. THEY are moving on.
And I subscribe to the right leaning GOP Congressmen and Senators, and they spout cheap anti-biden lies for their own base. Like whining abt gas prices, intimating it's biden's fault, when its REALLY about the war and oil profiteering by BIG OIL keeping production down to keep prices up. I truthcheck them daily on their sites. (Im especially happy to tell Jim Jordan's readers the truth and help them learn the diff between truth and tall tales. He's still into Hunter.
I'm sure Biden's less interested than his own ego and more interested in telling Xi to act in China's best interests. Chinese always do that, so if Biden threatened them with a major cut in their exports, they were listening closely. THAT was his objective, not keeping YOU informed!

Did I mention I saw "The Bombardment", a Danish movie on Netflix? I was damn near crying and couldn't sleep. It was a docu-drama of the RAF making a mistake and destroying a catholic girls school in Copenhagen during the war. Hit so close to home, thinking of the rescues of all those kids and nuns buried in the basement as the bldg fell on them during the bombing, trapped and drowning from the firemens water hoses. Reminded me of Kiev and every earthquake I've ever known, like the ones in Mexico City years ago. European bldgs are built to last. Hispanic bldgs are made of collapsible playing cards. It was a tense film involving 7 year olds in little plaid jumpers. Like the ones my dau wore to school forty years ago.
I am so pissed at Putin's indiscriminate bombing, punishing them for resisting his army and making him look foolish.
