PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

turn men into beasts

Somehow, Tyr didn’t expect for Oswin to give in so easily. She was a sensible mare, but something nagged at him for her to have kept their child away this long. Then, as she was blunt and brave enough to state it, the stallion finally knew what had made her hesitate. Blind? Tyr had never had a blind child before. He was a bit thrown off guard by it, not actually knowing what to say. Although he had done cruel things, even here on the islands, he wasn’t actually evil like many seemed to believe of him. Tyr wasn’t sure what Oswin made of his silence, but she still called for him. For their son.

Head turning so that he could look up the path she had descended from, he spied the colt as he made his way carefully down the slope. Tyr’s ears perked, curious to how the colt was managing such a feat without his sight. Even with his, Tyr still had a difficult time in this rugged land. It was a shame too, that the boy was given such a disability. He was large; his body sturdy, and built for power. He would never be able to fight, or do any of the other things a normal stallion would. It wasn’t disappointment welling in his chest, nor pity. But Tyr did feel sad that the boy had been robbed of such normalcy in life. Even if he had adjusted well.

“It is good to finally meet you, Oswald.” Tyr said, taking a few steps closer so that he could lower his head to extend his muzzle to the colt. It was odd, having a child that was his own, that didn’t carry any of his scent. But looking at him, there was no mistake that they shared blood. “I hope you can forgive me for taking so long to come and see you.” For all their differences on the matter, Tyr understood now why Oswin had kept their colt away. Knowing how protective a mother could be. And without actually saying it, the stallion was letting her know he understood.
