You will never forget

Aries
You will never forget

It was his first time leaving Salem, but in order to find a companion he felt it was necessary. His failed attempt at becoming a second still weighted heavily on his shoulders, but he would try again now that Salem leadership has completely changed. There had to be someone in need of more able bodies and he knew he could help. After this trip to the commons he would head to the Dunes to see Scorpio. Hopefully the new owner could welcome him among their ranks. Hopefully he wouldn't be returning alone.

The sea is colder than he expects it to be. The further he goes, the colder the water grows. It was quite a shock to his system actually. His body shook in attempts to recoup his body temperature, but this did not stop his travels. Aries was a fighter (even if he has never physically fought anyone). His mind kept him pushing forward until his goals were accomplished. It was this fact about himself that gave him the hope he would one day achieve his goals. Horses would know his name, he would create his own loving family like his parents had created, and he would be a successful second under an even stronger leader.

Dreams...it was all he had. The sooty stallion reaches the common island and proceeds towards the wide open grassland that catches his interest. Here he can smell many strangers, he can see a couple horses already talking in the distance, so he knows this would be a good starting point in finding a mate. It was the age old wish for a young stallion to find his own partner, but this was the first time he has actually taken any steps to subside his loneliness. Aries walks forward as he studies his surroundings until someone finally catches his interest. Not only was she alone, but the beautiful color of her coat get his heart beating. He catches a glimpse of the blanket on her back, much like his own, and he assumes this must be fate.

Kerr, or whatever gods were out there, had sent him a sign. The young stallion sticks a smile to his face before getting a closer look. It wasn't until he was a few steps away that he notices the concerned look on her face. "Are you okay?" Was she sick or something? Concern now crosses his own face as his smile fades away. It would be his luck that he finally finds a pretty girl, without other males trying to herd her away, only for her to be unwell.
