Demise of NewsPAPERS

Sometimes in here we can discover real wisdom...generally from people who have the experience to recognize and report it.

The readership suffers from short attention spans, way too many choices for our information sources and so advertising billing has fallen as media outlets can no longer deliver the eyes and ears to support their journalism.

Newsgathering IS labor intensive and that's expensive. Advertisers have so many places now to spend their dollars.

Used to be 3 network TV channels in a city meant a broadcast license to steal. Today cable has stolen away too many many viewers.

Its a lousy time to become a career journalist or even a publisher in this flooded media environment.

Did you notice the Star built that giant new glass and steel building and almost right away, people quit subscribing to those thin newsprinted papers thrown onto driveways? Who throws papers anymore? One by one, they disappeared!

Today the internet delivers the news faster and more visually on their electronic devices!
