Re(4): Nother Nutcase with Nukes

Naw but I wrote one talking about details of getting older and outliving your money... that was pretty close to reminding people what I've said on here that alienates the fun lovers.

3 criterial for a good career and I said this and got a lot of career counselors assigning my site to their students. I wrote it when my kids were in HS.

1. Find a career ffield that matches your natural skills (are you a wordsmith, number cruncher, leaader type, good with your hands, match your physical abilities...

2. Find a career field that you personally would LIKE (creative, or detail oriented, not boring to you, stuff you'd like to do for years...

3. Find a career that has available job opportunities AND pays the kind of money you require for the lifestyle you like.

Summary, 1, You'll be good at it, 2,You'll LIKE it, and 3, Pays enough so your income matches how much you'll need to be lifelong happy, raise kids, or have big boy toys, whatever.

It was early in the internet when my site, "Teen Guide to Making Money" always scored at the top on early search engines. It was a big hit in school libraries because I researched the skill requirements for various job fieldss incl what kids should take in school, college or trade school, or military, a bit about resume writing, networking, and investigating the job opportunities and what the HR people were looking for when they scanned applicants' resumes.

Theres lots of stuff out there on career prep nowadays but even at good schools, counselors didn't know much except helping kids do their class schedules for next semester. Most have never worked outside of education, so it was THEY who didn't know shit about the outside world!

I steered mine towards math and sciences and it wasn't long before they were making more money than I ever did.

So thanks for noticing i'm never about trshing people for what they do unless they're in a dead end job and I dont trash THEM, I tell them how to get a better one, reminding them exactly WHY we get up in the morning and go to 'work.'

I was gonna tell this other guy who wrote me saying "You dont' know shit", that probably NOT coincidentally, I saw a headline story on Yahoo about Puting fighting off cancer and people plotting to remove him.

Guess this Putin health thing's just breaking this weekend. Ya gotta look pretty deep in news coverage to get early breaking stories that don't come out of the cops or government.

ABC, that says "tonight' abt every 30 seconds and only runs less than a half dozen stories, repeating them abt that many times... their consultant wrote an ABC NewsSpeak style book and forces all field reporters to adhere closely to it.

My wife likes David Muir but I can't stand news that's mostly imagery and repetition about how up to the minute their news is. Past tense words are totally verboten. Its like if a guy dies 24 hours ago, they don't say 'died' they say it avoiding a verb altogether saying 'dying'. Is that "Present participle"?

So see, I still bitch a lot. grin. BTW, don't call me "Byron", we're not friends or family. Call me Radioman, Rman, Just sayin or whatever, so long as you always call me for DINNER!
