I don't think anybody who stayed in broadcasting can afford John Knox; I've never been there but I presume its for the Red Bridge set who built their houses back in the late 50s. They'd be listening to Patti Page, and the Vegas Rat Pack, not Glen Campbell! He was pretty sixties.
My stereotypes of the Geritol for Lunch Bunch was Jimmy Durante and Andy Devine but in the 50s-60s, they were still dyin of strokes and heart attacks in their late 60s, early 70s. I met a couple hundred year olds who fought in the Civil war when I was a young kid.
Not sure why you always come in here to needle me about John Knox Village; is that Kansas City's idea of quality retired living? You must be a lifelong resident and know every statue scattered around the Plaza, eh? People who were there all their lives do get a little parochial in their thinking. You old enough to have flown in a propeller driven airliner? I was a Braniff Junior pilot and got into the DC-6 cockpit even, but my pts had to lie about my age so I could fly to see grandpa by myself. Ya were supposed to be 8.
