long story short it was a bad time;

my waves meet your shore, ever and evermore;

It’s hard to tell, but Fearne thinks that this means he doesn’t have his own land. Will they be back with his parents, then? Or maybe he is a second, somewhere? She’s not sure how things work on these islands - she’d never actually made it this far before her savior had melted into the mist and she found herself wandering alone. Well, whatever it means…he’s interested in taking her. Certainly this is a step in the right direction; even if the two of them have to limp along together until they find somewhere, it has to be better than raising this child all on her own, right?

He gives his name, then, and Fearne offers him a charming smile. Regardless of everything else, he is handsome, and things are going swimmingly - so easy, in fact, that her nerves have begun to settle. He’s interested in her - he’s kind, and it seems as if she should have no problem taking him as a partner to raise this child. “Aries,” she says coyly, “It’s nice to meet you, officially.”

She’s never heard of Salem before - it must be one of the other large islands, but Fearne had never even made it off of the Crossing aisle. “Salem?” she asks, interested, ears perking forward. “I’ve never been. Is it very beautiful?” Maybe it will be like home - rolling fields of green, endless grass and trees for cover. Or perhaps like the Falls here, all towering trees and lush undergrowth and the taste of moist, damp earth in the air. “I want to go,” she reassures him, stretching out to brush a warm muzzle over his, a bold touch that Fearne hopes he won’t shy away from. This is going to be her future, after all. What better way to start it, than by building a family?

ooc note - sorry for the delay. if you'd rather end here and start a new thread to catch up, i'm totally open to it!!
