Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

The scuffle seems to have rattled Rehoboam. He watches the painted male closely, notes how carelessly he flings his words about, seeking to land a barb wherever he may. Işık has no pride to speak of, only vanity, and as he cares not one whit for what Rehoboam thinks of him or his actions he dismisses the painted male's attempted slights with a light, dismissive snort before turning his attention on Jabari. Having won his latest contest and securing for the Lagoon another healthy, capable stallion, Işık has business to attend to.

Before he can begin, however, Rehoboam drags the 'Teke's near ear toward him with a question. He considers ignoring him. But, on the off chance it will remove this irritation more quickly from their presence— "Atlantis," he admits, and that is all.

"Now," he says, his attention once again firmly on the fuming overo. He sees the bared teeth, the warning in each stamping hoof as Jabari paws the earth. He sees, too, the single attentive ear, and believes all is not totally lost on this first interaction. Işık takes a step closer, more to further exclude the painted stallion should he choose to keep lingering than to get any nearer to Jabari. Işık ensures he is still quite out of reach of that one's waiting hooves and teeth.

"I see you're displeased with this turn of events," he remarks casually, as if there is not a thread of tension strung between them. Since Jabari has yet to offer more than a curse, he changes his approach to see if he can't span the gap between their circumstances in a different way. "Perhaps you'd like to tell me why."
