KC is going to have a BIG outdoor concert today, at Kauffman. Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison and Joan Jett. I think the show starts at 4 PM, when the temperature will be 100 degrees, even without the heat index.
I think all of the performers will be in their sixties. How many of the audience members will also be in their sixties I don’t know, but - - - - I’d guess many of them will be same age as the performers.
I vaguely remember going to some HOT summer concerts at Arrowhead when I was in my 20s, but the crowds and most of the performers were also in their teens and twenties. The thought of seeing grandma & grandpa getting wild-and-crazy, hot-and-nasty, drunk AND half-naked at Kauffman won’t have ME standing in line waiting for a ticket today.
