Not all who wander are lost;

NYIMARA
I'm headed straight for the castle;

It is refreshing to see her sarcastic quip met with something beyond immediate annoyance. He relaxes.The initial annoyance and somber expression disappearing from his handsome face. He smiles. Well, as much of a smile as she has known in the past years. There was a time, in her youth, when she had been the recipient of genuine, gentle smiles. Those days were long gone. Now, the only smiles she ever received had some underlying tones to them. Smiles that made her suspicious. This stallion however, seems to hold no ulterior motives, at least for the moment anyway. His reply dissipates whatever remnants of suspicion that still remained in her mind. ’If he only knew.’ Nyimara has had enough solitude to last a lifetime and not once has she found pleasure or enjoyment in it. Loneliness had its way of sinking in like a poison, seeping into every fiber of one’s being until the brightness and hopefulness rotted away.

”Somehow I doubt that.” she purrs, giving her long silver tail a reaffirming switch. It was more likely that the gray stallion had simply not yet acquired a herd of his own. Judging by the leaf litter in his mane and the smudges of black dirt in his dappled coat, he had only just recently claimed Paradise. What still left confusion in her mind was the staleness of Rougaru’s scent. The silver bay stallion must have left Atlantis long before Temblor laid his claim, an assumption that made clear sense with the stoic stallion’s reply. Dials twitch at the change in his voice. The drop in octave made it more obvious than the annoyance in his eyes that his irritation returned. A single brow raises suspiciously as she studies him closely, noting the renewed lines of tension in his jaw. He shrugs his broad shoulders. The news that someone else had come here before her searching for Rougaru too was surprising. The old wolf was known to be disliked in general and his list of friends and alliances was not very long. At least, the last she had heard anyway. Who could it have been? But that was not important now. She gives her proud head a shake, seems like her venture here had been a big waste of time. ’Damn him’

Temblor’s question draws a smirk to her ashen lips. Playfully, dark lashes bat dramatically over her dark eyes as she steps closer to him, brushing her shoulder against his solid frame as she circles around him to come to a stop alongside him. ”What’s it to you? Jealous?” she quips, giving her proud head another toss to rid her vision field of the spider web of pale forelock that seemed to forever settle across her gaze. An impish giggle rumbles softly from her petite breast. ”No need to worry handsome. He's my father.” she replies, pausing for a moment to let those words settle into the small space between them before continuing again. ”I was just hoping to catch up with him before returning to Salem. I guess it is a mute point now though.”
