She was born in the Badlands (never met her father) and her mother died giving birth to her. She was adopted by the stallion Roheryn (who is now deceased) and his family. She was nursed by Daciana (who left her once she was weaned) and was never truly a mother to her.
She helped raise and nurse the filly Eowynn after her mother Nova died (Roheryn's Queen in the Badlands at the time). Eowynn is old enough to be off her on own now.
She had went to live in the Desert with her childhood lover Akello until him and his family dissapeared years ago. She raised their son Yaegar mainly alone (he was young when Akello left the islands). Adora was made from a fling with the young stallion Bastien. Adora will be a year come spring so she is still following her mother around. Yaegar is grown, but he still sticks by his mother.
