RECAP: MCKENNEDY DAZZLES WITH NEW ENGLAND SUPERMOD WIN
SEEKONK, Mass. — The New England Supermodified Series made their inaugural stop at Seekonk Speedway on Wednesday night as part of Boston Louie Seymour Memorial night at the track, and there was no surprise winner when this one was over. After 75 laps, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour points leader Jon McKennedy took down the feature win, taking the lead just after the halfway point and dominating the final half to score the feature win.
McKennedy is no stranger to racing at Seekonk Speedway. He’s run countless Modified events in the past, and even had some laps in a Supermodified prior to Wednesday night. But this time, there was absolutely no doubting he was the car to beat. Early on, Dan Bowes led the race, pulling away from his challengers. When it was time to roll, McKennedy pulled into the lead, then held off Supermodified standout Ben Seitz and Rob Summers over the final stages of a late restart to visit Victory Lane. While those two followed on the podium, Bowes finished fourth and Dave Duggan completed the top-five. Replies:
