Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

It is a gift to not hear the terrors of the world [Frey]

the world is quiet
but my thoughts are loud

It was quiet in the lagoon, but of course for bell it always was.

Her eyes saw no breeze in the air or even a stirring in the dead branches left behind from the frost, nothing except for the gentle falling of snow from above. Shades of green long gone and replaced with the dull winter colors she missed from home, but this was home now, even if she kept to herself. It was better that way. If she was not in the way she’d remain undetected like her brother wanted, but what of Frey? What did he truly want?

Movement along her sides reminds her of the new life growing inside, a sibling for thor, her boy she could only watch from afar. She couldn’t teach them when she couldn't hear them, their child tones were too hard for the mare who reads lips to hear, so she kept her distance as soon as he’d been able to leave her for longer than a few hours. Bell never spoke about it to Frey, but neither had he come to her about anything either so she’d left it be. Given they were expecting again should have eased any and every worry she'd had, but she can’t help but to wonder and wander while lost to her inner turmoil.

When her hooves meet the edge of the pond she’d been frequenting, does she come back to herself, looking into the frozen edges that crack under the weight of the hoof she sets down to open it up, lowering her head to take a long drink of the cold liquid. Frost tickles her lips when pulling back up, ears on a swivel despite their issues but it is her eyes that watch as a crow startles from a nearby tree, announcing someone else was near.
