She doesn't really remember how she got here. It should be disorienting to not know how you got from home to some strange island in the middle of nowhere, but Arachne is relieved more than anything. She'd finally managed to get away from her over-protective family. She'd been so sick of being coddled like an incompetent child and babysat all the time - by her little brother, no less. It wasn't her fault she was a curious soul who just wanted to explore and experience everything the world had to offer. How could they see that as a bad thing?
It was after a particularly heated argument about this topic that Arachne decided she was well and truly done with it all. She bolted at the first chance she got, leaving her family far behind. It had all kind of become a blur of sweat and salt water after that. Her parents would probably blame her brother for letting her slip away, but she didn't care. It wasn't like they'd send him after her. How could they when they didn't know where she'd gone? Not even she knew where she'd gone, but that was okay! This stranger would surely tell her.
Arachne prances up to the first horse she sees, ebony-and-ivory tail flagged high and dark ears tipped forward. "Hi!" she chirps brightly, ignoring the fact that she's still soaking wet, fresh from her journey. Crystalline droplets cling to the dips of her mane and lashes, and water runs in thin rivulets down her slender legs to pool in small lakes around her hooves. Arachne shoves her nose out at the stranger to offer a greeting breath, oblivious to any danger or discomfort. "What's your name? What is this place?"
