AA REUNION UPDATE ....
IP: 124.180.104.189

AA REUNION UPDATE:

With a little over six weeks to run for the reunion, just a reminder that the cut-off is COB Friday 30th September, however, last-minute registrations will be accepted.

Dress for the event is 'neat casual' which includes the Saturday night dinner. Medals are optional for those attending the 1500 Friday wreath-laying ceremony at the Caloundra RSL Cenotaph.

The reunion comprises four main events:

1500, Friday 21st October. Wreath-laying ceremony at the Caloundra RSL Cenotaph. Medals optional. Dress: Neat casual.

1600, Friday 21st October. Informal ′Meet ′n Greet′. VC Room (may change). Dress: Neat casual.
1000, Saturday 22nd October. Queensland Air and Aviation Museum (Caloundra Airport).

1800, Saturday 22nd October. Semi-formal reunion dinner. Dress: Neat casual.

Those who may be interested in a hit of golf on Friday, please contact Skip Antony (0412 602 353).

Guest speakers:

We are privileged with having two guest speakers, namely, former Wing Commander Jack Lynch MBE and Warrant Officer David Sheen (36 Squadron Warrant Officer).

Queensland Air and Aviation Museum:

Tony Johnstone (PLT) and Pedro Scovell (FENG) have organised a discounted entry to the Queensland Air and Aviation Museum for Saturday at 10:00am. The Museum is located on Pathfinder Drive at the Caloundra Airport which is situated about two kilometres from the RSL, and perhaps about 2.5 kilometres from the Caloundra CBD.

Specifically, Tony and Pedro have arranged for the opening of the P3 Orion and the UH-1H Iroquois. There are many other civil and former ADF aircraft on display. Unfortunately, there is no transport arranged to convey members to the museum and return. Private transport will need to be utilised.

Normal entry fee to the museum is $20.00, however, Tony and Pedro negotiated a $12.00 entry fee for reunion attendees. Tony advises that cash is the preferred payment method as the computer payment system at the entrance is not currently set-up to accept a payment of that amount ($12.00).

Seating at the dinner: Circular tables with seating for eight per table. With the exception of the top table, there will be no seating plan.

Should anyone have any questions, please contact Skip, Snozz or myself. We look forward to catching-up with everybody on the 21st October.
