Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

I don't want you to be afraid

i got an hour or so, take my hand and let it go
call me up anytime, c'mon baby, cry

“I don’t think I can move as easily through here, Mena,” Oswald called out to his sister who he could hear was already quite a distance ahead of him. He huffed, reaching out to poke gingerly through the air with his pink muzzle, then hovered near the ground. The smells were musky, wet, but he could differentiate where the ground would be a bit softer and where his steps would be somewhat firmer if he concentrated.

“Sorry Ozzie,” Filumena’s voice called back to him, then he heard the soft splashing and muffled suction sounds of her moving haphazardly over the wet grounds.

Oswald lifted his thick neck and snorted, perking his ears toward her as she stopped in front of him, reaching out to briefly, affectionately touch his cheek. “It’s okay, just try and stay a little closer, and walk on the solid bits of ground so I can follow you there.”

Most of the time Filumena was good about helping guide him, especially when they explored somewhere new, but sometimes she got over excited and had to be reminded to slow down. Oswald couldn’t blame her, he knew she was excited at the possibility of meeting one of their Lagoon siblings or even their father. A bit of guilt turned over in his gut, knowing he should have told their mother before they left, but Oswin was all the way at the top of the Peak summit (where she hadn’t come down in months) and Oswald wasn’t sure she would have said yes if they asked.

Of course, Oswald was already two and very capable of taking his yearling sister on a little excursion. But the fact they were going to the Lagoon…

Oswald shook off the guilt and refocused on paying attention to Filumena’s steps to follow along the path she was walking. Hopefully they might manage to come across someone soon… maybe it would even be a relative like they were hoping to find.
