"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

YOUR LOVE IS ALWAYS DANGEROUS
and now i'm lost in us

From the trees her shape emerged and, briefly, Zevulun could only see her. Every muscle in his body seemed to tense with excited anticipation, blue eyes bright with want, with love, and his heart aching at just how much he’d missed her since the last time they saw one another. But it was movement at her side that managed to snap his attention away, and Zevulun grinned wide at the golden boy beside her. Their son. Experience and common sense had told Zevulun to expect Reef might have a child at her side, given the last afternoon they’d spent on this very beach.

Reef drew close and Zevulun couldn’t keep from tossing his head in shared excitement, his pale hooves picking up and pressing back down into the sand where he was still standing. His paper-thin nostrils pressed outward, greedy to inhale her sweet, familiar smell once she drew close. A small shudder twitched pleasurably on his warm skin at her touch, and a few soft grunts gently pressed behind his closed lips as he turned his head toward her to indulge in a caress or two of his own. As Reef’s body pushed up against his, Zevulun’s legs remained rigid and held himself in place, almost pushing back a little on her if only to help keep their contact as close as it could be. He didn’t worry about the ocean still slick and damp on his skin, or the way little beads of water dripped off his hair and dampened her blue coat.

“Hi,” he managed to whisper softly back, now that they were so close together, and a warm, happy smile curled his lips. “I’ve missed you.” He admitted. Here with Reef, on their beach, Zevulun let go of all the worries and sorrows that’d plagued him as he led the Prairie. It was only the two of them (and their son, now). It was all he wanted to think about, just for these brief, precious moments they could steal that might be all theirs.

Zevulun lifted his head a little so he could look over at the boy as Reef addressed him. A fond, proud smile slipped over his mouth, eyes lingering on the colt. “He’s beautiful, Reef.” A golden boy, so similar to the son he and Riesling had, but only in color, not quite in build. Zevulun's pale chest lifted with pride, then he pulled his eyes away so he could appraise Reef again. “You’re okay? The birth wasn’t too difficult of an ordeal, was it?” Concern slipped immediately into his tone just as it seemed focused in his gaze.
