Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Why do you run from the villain you desired instead? Was the response the prior-Boss delivered to his question and Psychedelic knew eventually he wouldn’t be able to continue to outrun him. He was used to having a target painted along his back (all of his own doing) but right now this was an issue he did not need to deal with. An enraged, beefed up giant of a stallion stomping after him up and down the Lagoon beating him to death was not the new legacy Psychedelic wanted for himself. After everything that hadn’t killed him, the old boss of a dead regime definitely did not deserve that glory.

It wasn’t worth shouting back how he hadn’t wanted a villain and hadn’t come looking for one either. He wasn’t one to waste breath and this was definitely one of those situations. Tyr wasn’t going to listen to one syllable that came out of his mouth. Whatever Psychedelic said or did clearly changed nothing. The former boss was caught in a rage and Psychedelic had to hope he could manage to outrun him and then keep clear of his path until the big old brute finally calmed down.

Just when he worried Tyr was going to charge again (the stallion had picked his pace back up and was clearly making for Psychedelic), starting this violent dance up once more, there was a sudden adolescent voice that cut through the Lagoon and stopped them both. Psychedelic was used to hearing a voice that was not there, but it was one very distinct voice and it had been with him since his colthood. He frowned and whipped his head around, taking note of the young stallion he didn’t know, but who Tyr clearly did.

Father?!

Ah, his son. Psychedelic knew the pain of how a child’s love could tame you; in this instance, he was grateful. Because even though the young colt-stallion took off and Tyr stayed behind, he seemed to give up his hunt. For once Psychedelic kept his mouth shut, smart enough not to taunt whatever had enraged the beefcake stallion into trying to murder him.

That was way too close.

There was that voice Psychedelic knew well. He huffed a bit breathlessly into the quiet now that Tyr was gone, as was the worried boy who’d broken through his father’s enraged trance. “You’re telling me.”

With a groan the new boss turned away, definitely making sure to go the opposite direction Tyr had gone, limping slightly and feeling more and more of the sore wounds he’d suffered in their little scuffle.
