PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

let me be brave

For a moment the colt struggled, and Oswin watched him with worried eyes, willing herself to stand still even as the nervous energy made her body want to move. Her tail flicked a few times with quick back-and-forth jerks at the tip, just to help express some of it. The news he delivered first was unsettling not only for the situation at hand, but for the islands as a whole. Though she had tucked mostly away to herself, Oswin had heard a fight break out last season, then later learned it was the new Lagoon boss, coming after Bane. At the time she’d briefly worried over the implications (particularly with what that must mean for Tyr), but she had never imagined it would come to something like this.

I’m pretty sure he was trying to kill him!

Oswin’s eyes widened, and dread crept along her spine. The stories Róisín had shared of Tyr along with the voice of the roan mare - They let you remain there even after your interactions with a murderer? - sent ice through her veins.

For whatever reason, despite everything, Oswin had never stopped loving Tyr. In a way, it was unfortunately what pushed her down the spiral of uncertainty in herself and her identity, wondering how she couldn’t help but love a man with such a reputation as his. Oswin wanted to hate herself for not believing the roan mare when she told her of Tyr confessing to murdering her lover, but she couldn’t. She even wanted to believe it was a ruse, like Róisín had told her it was, but she couldn’t… or even if she could, she found she didn’t care.

Despite the beast he had once been, Oswin saw and knew the man he was trying so hard to become. Was it too late now? Had they lost him? Had Tyr reverted to the evil the world constantly told him he was meant to be?

She looked at the fear-stricken face of the young boy - he must’ve been Oswald’s age - and a new look of determination set across her face. For the first time in a long time, the gold and white mare looked more like herself than ever.

“Yes,” she said firmly, and nodded. “I’ll try and help-“ if she couldn’t? Oswin didn’t want to think of what would happen then. “Take me to him.”

oswin
this is as brave as I know how to be.
I know it’s gonna hurt you, but please… be a little proud of me.
