His eyes slant past Shiloh's face as she answers his question. Enemies. Temblor can't recall having had any, not until the last— and in the end, he had been the one to tip the scales furthest, marring his name and legacy forever in the eyes of those he once called friends and family. His actions had been irredeemable. A grotesque overreaction to something that even Shiloh speaks of now as an expected part of life.

"Sonorae," he repeats, fixing his attention once more on the present, and following this new trail of conversation. A frown creases his lips, not out of any displeasure but concern. "I'd thought to reunite her with Rougaru, should I ever cross paths with him. But it seems he truly is gone: two of his own children have come here, seeking him, with no idea of where else he might be." He shakes his head. "I wish she would integrate with us. I consider her part of our herd, now, even though her heart might still hold a different hope." His brow furrows as he considers her words more carefully, trying to view it from Sonorae's perspective. "Perhaps I should relax my own opinion about that. Is she... How is she, with you?" he wonders aloud. "I can't tell if she agrees with what I ask of her because she wants to, or because she is too afraid to tell me no."
He shakes his head again and leans into Shiloh for their next few steps, pressing his muzzle to her crest. "I wouldn't leave you waiting," he breathes into her hair. "Nor any of ours, were they to be taken from our home. Come," he bids her as he separates his skin from hers and lengthens his gait to a jog. There is no sense worrying about such things on an evening this fine, though she has given him much to think of. "Let's watch the sunset. Then perhaps you and I can ferret out our most reluctant herd member and convince her we don't bite."
