His ears knit back for a moment, uncomfortable about the idea of interrupting natural fauna, but he introduces himself after his ears flicked forward again. "Uh, no worries. You're not from here are you?" He shakes his white crowned head, duo-toned mane still too wet to be whipped up as a breeze broke through the canopy from the rising hurricane outside in the sky. It did, however, forewarn them of another addition to their little meeting. "I am not," he says distractedly, eyes looking in the direction of the new presence.
He takes her stock as she converses with the mare he’d original come upon, not wishing to challenge but clearly becoming interested in this very homey territory. The air of authority to her was enough to tell him he’d found the person who ran the place - but her introduction was not promising at first. "What are you called, interloper?" She asks, blunt and with no hint of pomp that sometimes accompanied leadership. No “I am HELIOS, GOD OF THIS LAND’ or things equally as self-important. He thinks better of her instantly. "I am Nahual."
"I am Charybdis," He lowers his head a bit, nodding to her for the exchange of her name. He nods to his first companion out of respect, and then instantly began to move in response to Charybdis’ signal. He knew the hunger of the rising, growing storm beyond the jungle and gladly would follow this woman to the safer reaches of the jungle’s heart. Her acceptance is simply treated as ‘understood’ and he knew in that moment that he would not be returning to the mainland without her insistence. He would stay here.
