PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

As Mae stood looking at her daughter, she was glad the dark girl had not refused the water despite her obvious fear. The mother would have never left her; bound in chains in the form of the filly at her side if she had not gone. As Kaeja presses close, Mae softly runs her pink muzzle along the girl’s forehead in affection before an explained oh! pulls her attention away.

Eyes now focused on the shadow that moves, Mae’s ears tilt forward as she looks at the almost mirror image of her child. Another spawn of Fell, maybe? Claiming this mountain as the refuge that the pair now sought? Whether she was or wasn’t, it would make no difference to the pale mare. Although neither girl was a child anymore, not really, Mae could not help the strong mothering instinct she still carried. It created a soft smile on her lips for the stranger despite how exhausted she felt.

“Thank you, Hrafna.” she said, giving a small nod of acceptance to the invitation to stay and rest here. “Hopefully by morning a Peak mare will have found us.” Because why wouldn’t they be sleeping, or otherwise resting in the company of their companions instead of trapsing around the mountainside in the dark?

Clawing up the last morsels of her energy, Mae climbed up the lingering steps it took to reach Hrafna and the space she had offered them for the night. “My name is Mae, my daughter is Kaeja.” she introduced, before feeling a muscle clench in the side of her swollen stomach. The pale mare had to swallow down the grunt that wanted to escape her, but wasn’t able to hide away a wince. It wasn’t the same sort of labor pains she had felt with Sol Volk, or with Kaeja, and it worried her if the stress of getting here had somehow harmed the foal within? Doing her best to ignore it, Mae settled in a less precarious spot to try and wait out the night, grateful to Hrafna that she had asked them to stay here with her.
