Jacob, President Biden originally wanted to shoot the balloon down when it got into our airspace. It was officials at the Pentagon that advised him not to do so because, whenever they shoot it down they don't know how much of the debris is going to impact the citizens down below as far as that debris falling on us. So, with that piece of information, I think it was the smartest decision that they made just wait until it got over to Atlantic Ocean to shoot it down so property down below including people's houses would not be damaged by the falling debris or destroyed so, you may want to get off your high horse with this thing about impeaching President Biden on this issue.
Also, another point based upon my knowledge as far as how signals travel I don't think they had the ability to send out information from that balloon when it was over the United States to China unless they had some kind of relay system set up to relay information over to China in the same way that satellites used for TV used to be used with multiple satellites in the sky to relay a signal a quarter to halfway around the world. So, my perception is they didn't get any signals as far as what was on our land back to China. They had to wait it out till that balloon got back over to them to receive the information regarding what they recorded over our land. Replies:
