When you read the background you see where a nanny mysteriously died back in 2018 (I think) at his home and Murdaugh ran off with the settlement money meant for her children. An autopsy was never performed but her death certificate said "natural" even though she was found at the bottom of the front steps in what he called "an accident". The son that was murdered was out on bail for driving a boat drunk that resulted in someone getting killed. The wife was delayed arriving at the murder scene because she was having a professional foot massage done.
