You deserved to be annoyed when you saw the URL was "moneypop.com--a sure sign you clicked on the clickbait and got whatever ad you got sent...not only irritating you but risking an infection.
Never fall for fear teases from any unsolicited email. You're email or phone nr has been made public, sold and resold.
I never use my mobile phone as a computer or browser...I do everything on a desktop and don't give out my nr but to companies I must do business with and need them to contact me. And I'm on this sucker all the time with my half dozen email addresses, each which has a different purpose.
And I use my browsers filtering system and ad blocker all the time. HOpe that helps reduce the irritation level for you as it does for me.
Oh, and when FB jumped me for using a moniker I'd used in the media for decades, and I refused to change it, they threw me off. I came back with another one and noticed they have somewhat liberalized that dangerous policy they have for insisting on us using our 'everyday name' with proof of ID, and now I set up a "PAGE" off of my personal account for my politics but don't have my 5,000 'friends' on my personal account anymore. NO spam now! And on my Twitter accounts, I unfollowed all the MAGAt propagandist accounts from House Republicans. Twitter's now way less irritating.
This computer can be just as distracting as having a habitual drinking problem.
ONe last thing if you stuck with my long message. Remember that a long email takes less time than a short phone conversation and contains way fewer words.
Maybe your reading skills aren't so good or you need to see the eye doctor because your eyes are getting tired faster. Sucks, I know well. Replies: There have been no replies.
