This reminds me of an argument I heard one time against the logic that gun violence will be deterred if everyone has a gun.
The example is that if a couple of first graders are on the playground and one kid hits another kid with a stick, do the teachers get the other kid a stick? Hell no.
It's apples and oranges I know, but there's a little thread of common sense in there. Replies: There have been no replies.
