PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

The jungle is dark, but full of diamonds;(ACTIVITY CHECK)

The mare of smoke and rosy gray predawn slid from the shadow of the overhanging cliff where she kept Diccon tucked. It was still early enough that the yearling colt slumbered peacefully, no longer dependent on his mother for protection or guidance. Though he would never be as nimble or agile as herself, the young smokey gray colt was already growing quite used to the dizzying heights of the mountain peaks. Normally she would have found no better pleasure than to enjoy the early morning hours in quiet solitude as she debated her life and the choices she has made, however this morning there is a heavy weight that has lingered on her thoughts for some time.

She had not expected to receive any nominations for her bid at becoming a leader of the mountain mares, and she had been even more surprised when the sole vote for her ascension had come from the one mare she was about to replace. Whether that was because of some hidden agenda or not, Khar’pern left that to Roisin to decide. What did matter to her anyway, was that expected or not, she was now the leading voice for the mares. But the question that weighed heavily on her now was…. What mares?

Aside from Roisin’s vote, none others had dared to step forward. Even her arrival in the peaks had seemingly gone unnoticed and that troubled her greatly. Long before she left, were the days where the mares of the peak were a driving force to be reckoned with. It was by the will of the mares that the bachelor stallions moved and the herds convened if only to keep from angering the goddesses of the mountains. Now, the crumbling rocks seem the only sentinels for what had once been a mighty force on the islands. A weathered outpost. This both infuriated and grew her determination.

With a single high pitched whinny, her guttural call echoes across the valleys and slopes of the snow dusted peaks. Raven tipped flutes pitch forward amid the tangle of her raven mane as Khar lifts her finely dished head, her crystal eyes scanning the slopes that stretched out before her. ”Sisters… come forth!”
