Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

let me be brave

Okay.

One word and it nearly undid her where she stood. The immensity of the moment crashed inward on them and what little distance between them evaporated as the large stallion drew closer. Oswin trembled, eyes closing in sweet darkness as his velvet, whiskered lips brushed hers. A different sort of shiver raced down her spine, down her body and clear to her hooves. Sucking back a breath that was saturated in his masculinity made the entirety of her core hum with satisfaction. To know at this moment Tyr could trust her enough to try for her was as humbling as it was invigorating. He choose her and in that moment it meant more to her than she could ever vocalize.

They parted and Tyr requested she tell their children. Immediately her mind conjured them and a different sort of ache pierced her heart. Something told her Filumena would not be as receptive, but their relationship had grown somewhat strained in the last year or so. Oswin felt the natural guilt that often paired thoughts of her daughter and quietly set it aside to instead think of Oswald. As much as he loved the Peak and feared swimming the ocean, his curiosity and his love of his family would likely be enough to convince him to visit if not stay. Her heart lifted, envisioning a little life with herself and Tyr and their children… perhaps even a new child…

Oh, but she was getting ahead of herself.

“Atlantis?” She said, then hummed thoughtfully and nodded. “Alright.” Oswin had never lived on Atlantis, though she’d visited a time or two. She was born of Luthien and raised in the Prairie; it was the only home she’d known aside from the Peak. It felt right that the pair of them would carve out a life for themselves away from the narrative set down for them somewhere new yet familiar to them both.

“I’ll go talk with them.” She promised, then looked over Tyr’s face to meet his eyes. It seemed strangely hard to part with him now, given all that lay bare and vulnerable and honest between them, but there were other pieces to put in place before they could try this new venture. Oswin sighed and stepped forward to give herself the reward of his touch again, to push herself up against him and press their warm skin together in an embrace. She tucked her head beneath his thick neck and inhaled a sharp breath through her nose. There were many things she could have said, but everything paled in comparison to how she felt. Oswin only held herself against him firmly, locked into their embrace, before enough time had passed that she could step away and offer a parting kiss, a small smile, and then step away enough to finally leave his side.

Hopefully they would not be apart for very long and hopefully their children would not be too terribly surprised at the news she had to share with them.

oswin
this is as brave as I know how to be.
I know it’s gonna hurt you, but please… be a little proud of me.
