Yep, their big names just aren’t showing up. Howell finished 5th and got $975 - why work on your game to win when you make that for 5th place.
Let’s face it also that these guys aren’t playing the top courses and they are playing far shorter yardages than the PGA. They are hitting a lot of irons and 3 woods off of the tees. I think I heard that Johnson only hit 3 drivers on his round.
