I keep thinking to myself I need to playing 9 and walking to get my golf and body in shape. I even looked up the greens fee the other day. It would be a limited club selection and use a Sunday bag. Maybe one day with the odd number irons and the even clubs the next time.
About 6 years ago, we finished at True Blue and stopped at a golf shop by Merrill’s Inlet. I picked up a used Callaway 3 wood and put it in the bag. It is still in the bag and I haven’t hit it on a course yet.
I think you’ll see this more at Augusta will be the pros adding or using a 7 wood in replacing their 5 wood. Basically the same size head, more loft, lands on the green from a higher apex and probably will stay on the green more often.
