Texas Jai-Alai to open 4 frontons in state

From an article in El Correo (Basque Newspaper)

Texas will construct to a fronton for jai-alai with capacity for 12,000 spectators. The sport enclosure, will serve to reactivate the sport, and will employ 45 pelotaris and will open in 2009.
The badly tales which accompanies the sport of the basket end seems that it has been disappearing little by little. Until now, the construction of a new fronton in Texas has been announced, that, next to the new one of Jasper in Florida, will change the negative course of a specialty that has been in a crisis for years.

Just north of the city of Dallas (Plano area), in the state of Texas, the enclosure will be located near a landmark' will be constructed to a great commercial complex that will be in opinion of the promoters quote big as Texas. It will count on the additional help of two restaurants, a cafeteria and day-care center. According to Evan Coleman, head of operations of Texas Jai-Alai, as therefore the enclosure is called, we will have a capacity of 12,000 spectators and agreed dimensions with the traditional frontons of Cesta Punta. "We have predicted to open the fronton by 2009 and in 2010 we have asked the Federation of the International of the Basque Ball to let us hold the celebration of the Championship of the professional World wide one in our new enclosure", explains Coleman, that or sent the official request to the Federation.

With respect to jobs for the pelotaris we hope to arrange something with, one of the people in charge of the Basque schools to give exit to the puntistas, this is a points of greater interest. Evan announces that "we hoped to contract a group of 45 puntistas". He does not hide that his intention, at this moment to make contact with other American enclosures, and wants "to create a school of the ball to form professional pelotaris here", although he recognizes that this project will be one we'll have to approached once his new sport enclosure is open.

Now they are working in the attainment of the permissions of bets, to be able to run Monday through Friday for nine months out of the year with functions that double on Saturdays sessions and have twelve quinielas to the day. All will take place after obtaining the approval of the ' Regis Commissión' of the state of Texas.
