I don't follow this. Republicans control the legislatures, who make laws.
Dems have introduced bills to curtail gun sales, require background checks, institute mental health and DV flags.
Republicans have <checks notes> pulled back gun laws to the point where 12 year olds can open carry with no permit, introduced literally HUNDREDS of bills geared towards hatred and persecution of the LGBTQ+ community (including transgender people), banned books by black and gay writers, continued their hatred and persecution of the poor through expiration of items like the child tax credit and free lunch meal programs as well as continued guard rails on programs like SNAP, voted DOWN health care and MENTAL HEALTH reform, all in the name of using their power to advance their draconian positions on abortion and democracy.
So yeah, I blame Republicans. One can look at this and only blame Republicans. I mean, if you want Dems to suspend the rules, pack the court, and jam every great progressive ideal up your bloated ass, we certainly could. But Biden isn't Trump. So the rule of law applies, and Dems have neither sufficient time nor power to do what you ask without being a bloated fascist asshole, like your Dear Leader. Replies:
