Force-claiming is allowed here once a week per character, as is blocking force-claims by the Peak/Lagoon (as a whole) once a week. Rollover is on Sundays.

The wind is full of voices. He hears the whine and moan of the trees as they sing solemn songs of all they have seen. He hears glimpses of words though he cannot make sense of them - this language of wind and tree and bitter driving snow is foreign to his ears. Once, he thinks he hears "Mother?" though it is so distant and distorted he cannot be sure. A branch snaps overhead and falls with a hushed thud nearby, and Arroyo tenses. Then, "Valka!" louder, and it must be a name, though it is one he does not recognize. He does recognize the panic though, and as he searches through the skeins of white, a dark form suddenly collides with him.
He staggers a step or two, taken by surprise, but no hooves fall on him, no teeth scrape his flesh. All there is is warmth against his side and a small, "Hello?" He makes room for his companion in the narrow strip of shelter he has found, and though the wind bites more harshly against his left side, his right side is warm with her touch. He offers a reassuring touch to the dark mare's shoulder and settles in to wait for the storm to pass.

When dawn comes he is nearly as snow covered as the trees that surround them. He blinks against the ice that has formed on his lashes and laughs as he shakes the pile from his back. He barely notices the odd numbness on his left side as he turns to look at the creature that had joined him beneath the tree.
"Hello," he says, smiling lightly. "Strange way to meet someone new," he says, though not unkindly. "My name is Arroyo." He looks out into a landscape totally changed and then back to the small dark mare. "Did you get lost in the storm? Perhaps, we can help each other find our way out of here." Replies:
