Re(3): Where Are They Now?

Really? I thought he was the screener and board op for the afternoon talk team. But he got a big head when Parks let him add content--which board ops usually dont' get to do. I think he was doing a bit of evening work and was quite good, in fact better than those who sit in the swivel chairs.

Weir just knows what we all know, that radio is temp work, and the best most can get is to survive until they have name recognition, even tho actually creative talent doesn't really matter. No one can stop the real funnymen who have the touch...They'd have to have deep roots in a market to let themselves get stale. KC's always had an unusual number of guys who grew moss over their feet. Name familiarity is radio's version of 'tenure' for college instructors. That's why they say the call letters and their name every break. Me, I'd rather hear less name repetition and more fresh, funny material.
